Project Brief
The Bryce Jordan Center celebrated it’s
10-year anniversary in 2006. To observe the event and promote the arena, I was asked to design an anniversary logo, ticket, and advertisements. The BJC specifically requested that their advertising be different from the typical approach of showing multiple facility shots.
Approach
I started by designing the logo, incorporating a Roman numeral X to communicate the 10-year anniversary. For the ticket, I created a “stars-and-stripes” design to pay tribute to the special occasion. The “X’s” ad displays the logo in full color, and relies on the copy to communicate the message. The ”Think Out of the Box” ad was used the year after the anniversary, continuing the same creative approach.
Outcome
The tickets were used by concert and event-goers throughout the 2006 calendar year, and the advertising successfully ran in many promoter trade publications including Billboard and Pollstar.
