Milltown Pride is set in 1920s South Carolina, where the only route to pro baseball is through the local textile mill team. Will Wright dreams of joining the big leagues and will sacrifice anything. Despite his wealthy father’s objections, Will abandons his privileged life to work at Newton Mill. His on-field talent makes him the mill-league team’s rising star, attracting a dangerous rival and drawing criticism from his father for associating with working-class “undesirables.” As he faces unexpected similarities with the mill workers, a visit from evangelist Billy Sunday reveals that Will’s sheltered life masks a genuine need for repentance and forgiveness.
