I can still hear the Shea Stadium crowd chanting, “Darrryyyyyyllllll, Darrryyyyyyllllll!” as I watched on our family’s tiny black and white TV during the Mets heydey of the 1980s. To this day, Strawberry has one of the quickest bats and sweetest swings I’ve ever seen.
